Because the leather is tanned as gently as possible, color transfer to light-colored fabrics can occur, especially in hot or humid conditions. This can be treated with a transparent, universal leather waterproofing spray (for smooth leather) to minimize the risk of discoloration. With regular use, however, the leather will develop its own protective patina, making it even softer and protecting it from scratches and moisture.
